Oasis were without a doubt one of the biggest bands of the 90s.
He released a statement saying: "It is with some sadness and great relief... People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer." Giving the volatile relationship that Liam and Noel have, it's seemed unlikely that Oasis will reform, with Noel telling Rolling Stone magazine last year he "doesn't need the money".
Last summer Liam tweeted: "Listen up no oasis reunion Rkids not into it I am hes to busy being beige new sounds on there way stay cool and most of all relevant LG x" Since Oasis split in 2009 Noel has continued to perform with a new band, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.
He tweeted: “Re potatoes 50th he’s not invited none of his family not even his own mother says a lot about the man and his part planner pair of w******.” Last year Liam revealed to the Metro he calls Noel "potatoes" because he "looks like one".
There was hope that the pair would reconcile for the "sake of Manchester".
After the divorce was finalised, Noel admitted he had only claimed to have cheated in order to speed up the divorce process and that he had never actually been unfaithful.
